Calgary Stampede Art Auction

July 10

Calgary, Alberta, Canada

{Left) "Silent Partner", 12 x 16

I submitted just one piece to the 2008 Calgary Stampede, so I'm happy to be included in the auction for the first time ever!

C. M. Russell Auction

March 12 - 15, 2008

C. M. Russell Museum, Great Falls, MT

(Left) "Got 'im", 26 x 30

I submitted just one piece to the 2008 Russell, so I'm delighted it was juried in! This is one of the first roper paintings I've done; the ropes, hooves, tack and so on flying everywhere provide wonderful action for my brush.

Peppertree Art Show

Nov 10 - 11, 2007

Santa Ynez, CA

(Above) "Harmony", 20 x 25
(Left) "Swan Studies", 24 x 20

These are just 2 of the 5 new pieces I'm hanging at the Peppertree invitational show.

Western Visions Show, National Museum of Wildlife Art

Sept 12 - 13, 2007

Jackson Hole, WY

(left) "Centrifugal Force", 9 x 12

I am so pleased to be invited to the Western Visions show once again; I'll be in Jackson for this event, along with the Saturday morning Quickdraw - all part of the Fall Arts Festival in Jackson Hole.

Barrel racing is such fun to paint - seeing the quarter horses dig deep around turns is artistically very inspiring!

C.M. Russell Museum
"Masters in Miniature" Invitational Exhibition & Sale

June 16 - Sept 8, 2007

C.M. Russell Museum,
Great Falls, MT

June 16: show opens to the public
Sept 8: reception and wall sale

(above) "Moonrise", 10 x 14

(left) "Twister", 13 x 8

Again this year I was invited to submit two pieces for the Russell miniatures invitational, and I'm darn pleased to have been included. The nocturne depicts a wild stallion, and is my first go at rendering moonlit grass. "Twister" is another in my ongoing and highly enjoyable rodeo series.

Oil Painters of America 16th Annual National Juried Exhibition

May 11 - June 9, 2007

Whistle Pik Galleries, Fredericksburg, TX

(Left) "Painted Night", 24 x 36

The OPA's annual exhibition is a darn fine show into which to be juried; since an artist may only submit ONE piece for jurying, it can be very nerve-wracking trying to pick just one painting (and hope the jurors like it!) This is my first moonlight painting, and I am really, really happy with it.

Meridian International
"Out West: The Great American Landscape"

2007

China

(Left) "Fire & Ice", 30 x 40

This painting was chosen - along with a select group of paintings from notable western painters - to go on a yearlong tour of China in a cultural exchange exhibition. I am incredibly honored to be part of this show.

For more information, please visit Meridian's website.

For the first time, I have 2 pieces juried into the Russell auction!

(Above) "Water Music", 20 x 30

(Left) "Yeehaw!", 25 x 30

American Academy of Equine Art
2006 Open Juried Exhibition

September 22 - October 31, 2006

Kentucky Horse Park
Lexington, KY

(Above) "Hot Color", 26 x 32

(Left) "Summer Color", 18 x 14

Two paintings of mine were juried into this
  prestigious show!

Birds in Art
2006 International Juried Exhibition

September 8 - December 15, 2006

Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum
Wausau, WI

"High in the Sunlit Silence", 24 x 32

My husband is a private pilot, and whenever we're flying our plane around the west I'm at the windows with camera in hand. I saw this landscape as we were climbing out of Jackson Hole one summer day, and it was easy to imagine a golden eagle in the same spot.

Getting into Birds in Art is a big deal, and I'm proud to be part of the 2006 show.
