| I've been experimenting in several directions recently: I've
been fascinated with a 1:2 ratio for compositions, I've discovered
the joy of the surface on prepared cradled hardboard panels, and
I've been exploring creating works which consist of several
individual panels. This piece is a great example of all three of
those directions. Cradled hardboard has a frame on the backside,
so it can actually stand upright on its own. A multi-panel work such
as this can be hung on the wall OR placed on a shelf, AND the
collector gets to interact with its arrangement! This is another
element of the work that I find interesting and satisfying. Not to
mention the fun I had painting "essence of pronghorn" on the two
panels. |
