| I spend a lot of time in the National Bison Range
here in northwestern Montana, and on one of my recent trips I was delighted and
charmed to watch this mama whitetail and her yearling daughter pause in their
feeding for a quiet and evidently pleasurable bout of mutual grooming. One of
the benefits of time in the field - wonderful moments like this.
