Horses were what got me started in art, and I'm delighted to come full-circle in my painting. Since moving to Montana, I've had much more occasion to see working cowhorses and cowboys, and I'm having great fun visiting the small-town rodeos scattered throughout the summer. This is my first foray into painting the working cowhorse - here, holding the rope taut while his rider is off working the calf. Sunshine and shiny horsehide are great excuses to run amok with color.
