Winter Poem |
||
| This painting is really special to me. I saw the frozen stream bank with the
open lead of quiet blue-gray water in Yellowstone a few winters ago. The texture
of the snow layers and their reflections made for a fascinating study, and of
course a red fox is just the thing for a warm counterpoint to all that cold
snow. I am really fond of this image - painting it put me into a meditative
state, reflecting on the beauty and harshness of a Rocky Mountain winter..
