Shadows |

| Every now and then I get the itch to do a small
and simple painting that celebrates the beauty of an animal without complex
garnish. This piece is just such an image - the Yellowstone bull elk was walking
into a patch of shadow late in the day, and the contrast of cool shadows and
warm light is so much fun that I can never resist. I'm pleased with the result.
