Snowdog
oil on handmade canvas panel, 24 x 24

This was a seminal piece for me, as it reflects the influence of Wayne Thiebaud (whose work fascinates me) and the inspiration of a sunny winter morning in Yellowstone. I thoroughly enjoy watching and painting coyotes, those smart little canids that have adapted to the human presence. This painting was included as part of the "Beauty of the Beast: Five Artists, Five Sculptors" exhibition at the Rockwell Museum of Art. It remains a personal favorite for me.
