| I always make time to watch the swans on Flat Creek when I'm in
the Jackson Hole area, and light, shadow, and forms they create when
preening or taking off are mesmerizing. Here, I wanted to explore
several of those aspects in one piece; this is definitely an
experiment for me, and experiments are always nerve-wracking. Still,
I'm pleased with the piece and excited about the directions it will
lead me.
